Mocingbird Offers Longitudinal Support Now - What does it mean and what has changed?
There has been a great deal of controversy and physician pushback surrounding MOC (Maintenance of Certification) requirements, with most feeling as though the entire process offers no clinical value.
Many medical boards are now piloting longitudinal assessment options as opposed to the high-stakes one-day exam option most physicians are used to dealing with. The new longitudinal assessment offers greater flexibility in terms of time, increased learning opportunities, real-time feedback, and open-book testing.
Mocingbird has recently launched longitudinal support for those diplomates choosing to participate in these new exams. Specifically: the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery Web-Based Longitudinal Assessment (ABOS WLA) and the Family Medicine Certification Longitudinal Assessment (FMCLA).
The rules surrounding these two assessment options have been extensively researched and verified with the boards themselves. Physicians using MOCINGBIRD for WLA or FMCLA will be able to engage seamlessly with the platform in order to track and maintain these new requirements with no added stress. Leave all the heavy lifting to us!
Tip of the MONTH - Quick Tips for the First Time Mocingbird User
As a new user, when you go through the onboarding process, you will have the ability to enter all of your state and board licenses and any certifications that go along with them. Upload all of your files so our team can start working on diligently categorizing and applying them to the appropriate requirements. Leave all the work to us!
It recommended for you to use the MOCINGBIRD mobile app (look for "Mocingbird" on the App Store or Google Play) as you can take photos of your relevant documents and upload straight from your camera roll.
Quick Note - Mocingbird's Partner Association Discounts
During onboarding, you will have the opportunity to enter the medical association name that you belong to, so you can redeem the special partner discounts from your association. Currently, we are partnered with the American Osteopathic College of Anesthesiologists (AOCA) and the Los Angeles County Medical Association (LACMA).
Drop us a note and connect us with your medical association - we would love to partner up!
